Carrig National School is a co-educational school located about 5km from Nenagh in the parish of Kildangan.  It is situated on top of Carrig Hill adjacent to St. Mary’s Church.

Currently there are 240 children enrolled in the school. There are nine mainstream class teachers, four special education teachers, a shared SET post, two special needs assistants, a secretary and caretaker.
